Dark Side of the Moon to be Highlighted on BBC
Monday August 26th, BBC Radio will dedicate an hour long drama featuring Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, airing at 10pm.Programming on either side of the show will align with music from that era as well.
Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music are simulcasting an exciting show that puts the audience in control of the music on both networks for two hours. Users will have the ability to collaborate online and pick the tracks. Following that will be The Record Producers – Pink Floyd Special, which concentrates on the Floyd’s music from the late 60s through to the mid-70s, and features David Gilmour and Nick Mason. They will also have original multi-track recordings of some of their best work from this period.
The night of broadcast, visitors to bbc.co.uk/radio2 be in for a treat as they are able to watch a specially commissioned animation by Aardman to enhance the drama. This adds a engaging audio-visual aspect to the whole show theme. The video below is a teaser trailer released online:
